A quote is how most packaging trades on Repackify: you tell us the product, quantity and destination, we price the load with freight, and you get one delivered price to accept or decline. Nothing is charged until you accept.
Where to start
| Start from | Use it when | What it asks |
|---|---|---|
| A listing | You have found the exact stock you want | Pickup or delivery, quantity, delivery address, preferred date, notes |
| Request a quote | You know the product and quantity but not the seller | Product, quantity, destination, timing, contact details |
| A product page such as buy pallets | You arrived from an ad or a search result for one product | The same three screens, already set to that product |
From a listing
- Open the listing and use the buy box. If the listing sells by quote, or your quantity is below its checkout minimum, the buy box opens the quote form with your quantity, date and address carried over.
- Choose pickup or delivery, confirm the quantity, and pick a preferred date. The earliest date you can pick is the seller’s lead time from today.
- Add a delivery address when you chose delivery. Saved warehouses are offered first.
- Submit. Your contact details come from your account, so the form does not ask for them again; the account needs a valid phone number.
Submitting creates a request tied to that listing and takes you to its page under Orders in your dashboard, where the quote will appear. If you already have an open request for the same listing, the dashboard sends you to it rather than creating a second one.
What the request records
- The quantity, pickup or delivery, the preferred date and the full delivery address.
- A price snapshot taken at the moment you asked, using the listing’s price breaks for your quantity. Changing the quantity refreshes it; other edits keep it.
- A quantity change needs the listing still published by the same seller. If the listing was withdrawn, transferred or converted to a recycling listing, you start a new request.
How the quote reaches you
The quote is emailed with the PDF attached and a link to the quote page. The link is bound to you: open it without its token and the page reports the quote as not found. If we revise the quote, the old link says it was replaced and does not open the new one.
Accepting
- The quote page offers Accept and Decline. Accept sends you to sign in, claims the quote for your company, and continues in the dashboard. There is no way to pay a quote anonymously.
- Claiming a quote needs an active membership in a company; the quote is then bound to that company.
- Accepted is not the same as ordered. A sale quote rests at accepted until the order is created; a paid quote means the order exists and is paid. What happens next is in Checkout and payment.
What to include if you want a fast quote
- The exact product and grade, using the terms in the listing or in our grade guides.
- Quantity as a count, and whether it can be a full truckload or must be less.
- The delivery ZIP and whether the dock has a forklift; a lift gate changes the freight.
- The date you need it by.
